If the game shows an error pop-up related to the PlayStation PC SDK or you are unable to connect to the PlayStation Network, there may be an issue with the PlayStation PC SDK on your system or it may not be installed correctly. The PlayStation PC SDK is required to access online features and use PlayStation overlay.
Check if software is blocking the PlayStation PC SDK
Problems can occur when anti-virus software is interfering with the SDK. If you are using such software, check if it is blocking the PlayStation PC SDK.
Check if the PlayStation PC SDK is installed
To check if the PlayStation PC SDK is installed correctly, go to "Add or remove programs" in Windows and search for PlayStation PC SDK Runtime. The SDK should show up in the list of installed programs.
If you do not see the SDK in the list, you can manually check the installation folder, which is located here: C:\ProgramData\Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc\PSPC_SDK\
Reinstall the PlayStation PC SDK
As a workaround, you can try manually reinstalling the SDK. To do so, remove the PlayStation PC SDK via "Add or remove programs". To install it again, go to the install folder or the game and run the file "install_pspc_sdk_runtime.bat".
How to locate the PlayStation PC SDK installer:
- Steam: right click the game in your library, choose Installed Files and click Browse to open the install folder.
- Epic Games Store: right click the game in your library and select Manage. Click the folder icon next to Installation to open the install folder.
